BioCon Valley®

The collaboration with the cross-industry network BioCon Valley® provides important assistance to Invest in MV, primarily in the support of investors from the life sciences sector. As a central contact person and service provider for life sciences, biotechnology and biosciences in the north-east of Germany, BioCon Valley® networks the competences of companies, universities, other further education establishments from the areas of medicine, medical technology and pharmacy. Through the initiative of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board Dr Rudolph, a cooperation agreement was concluded with Invest in MV. Activities such as e.g. the visit to Bio Europe were organised together. BioCon Valley® is the co-initiator of the international network ‘ScanBalt’, which has been formed by biotechnology initiatives in the Baltic region. Short routes between the partners Biocon Valley® and Invest in MV are also guaranteed by the geographical proximity.

Network for Maritime Applications at the Research Port Rostock

Our federal state is distincted by traditional industrial branches such as agriculture, tourism and shipbuilding. The federal state government, companies, research institutions and universities in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern investing as well long-term in the development of the aerospace industry. At the Research Port Rostock the Network for Maritime Applications was founded in 2008. The initiative is significantly funded by the State Ministry of Economics. The aim is to develop products based on satellite navigation for maritime navigation and logistics. We are supporting as well the future European satellite navigation system Galileo. With the research approaches for a safe, secure, clean and efficient shipping traffic in the port of Rostock we would like to become a leading model region in Europe. …mehr »
