Gum arabic is a natural substance that can be found in candy, beverages, flavorings, and pharmaceuticals. In the future, this resin from African acacia trees will be processed in Wittenburg for use in production. In July, construction work began on a new plant, which will have the capacity to process 3,000 metric tons of this substance per year.
